International Shipping Guide
1. From Ehime to the World
All orders are shipped directly from our shop in Ehime, Japan, where our towels are produced. As a specialty producer, we handle every stage of the process—from production to careful international packaging—to ensure your items arrive in perfect condition.
- Global Shipping: We offer international shipping to most countries via Japan Post EMS and Yamato International Shipping.
- Current Restrictions: Due to existing partnership agreements, shipping is currently unavailable to Hong Kong and Taiwan.
- Other Destinations: Shipping availability will be displayed at checkout. If your country is not listed, please [contact us] to see if we can make a custom arrangement.
2. Shipping Fees
Shipping fees are calculated in real-time based on your destination and the total weight of your order.
- Direct Carrier Rates: Shipping is charged at the actual rate provided by our carriers. IORI does not add any markups, handling surcharges, or extra fees to the shipping cost.
- Live Quotes: You can confirm the shipping total in your shopping cart before completing payment.
3. Customs, Duties & Import Regulations
As of 2026, many countries (including the United States, EU, and UK) have significantly lowered or removed "Duty-Free" thresholds. Almost all international orders are now subject to import taxes, VAT, or local customs fees regardless of value.
- Recipient Responsibility: These charges are not included in our product or shipping prices. Your local courier will contact you to collect these fees before delivery is completed.
- Refusal or Failure to Collect: If a package is returned to Japan because duties were unpaid or the recipient was unavailable, the order will be subject to a Net Refund to cover non-recoverable shipping costs. Please see our Return Policy for details.
4. Delivery Times
- Dispatch: In-stock items are prepared and dispatched within 1–3 business days.
- Transit: Express delivery typically takes 4–10 business days, depending on the destination country.
- Tracking: You will receive an automated tracking link via email once your package departs Ehime. Please note that IORI is not responsible for delays caused by local customs processing or carrier backlogs.
